The client needed a small apartment to temporarily house employees. As the original building is part of a protected townscape, the volume is not allowed to be visible from the street level. To achieve this, the building volume is set back from the main façade, cantilevering over the back façade. As a light construction was essential, we proposed to construct the entire apartment in wood, including the furniture.
